Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Redo

This Summer we heard about the possibility of abolishing single use plastics.  Well duh!  Isn’t it about time?  For 30 some years we have responsibly recycled and reused like we should. It took the picture of unfortunate wildlife suffering at the hands of plastic straw manufacturers and the consumers who love straws made from plastic.  After having used paper straws the past month, I have grown to accept the change.  There are even far greater inconveniences on the way!  Trust me straws are just the start of things to come.  Imagine Gatorade from a glass bottle.  Paper grocery bags.  They work but they cost more.  Reusable ones are better anyways.  If you don’t love this change you most likely will get used to it.  Regardless of who runs Canada, I feel that our next leader will need to be responsible and unafraid of making this decision.  We sell lots of single use plastics.  It should be interesting how far things go.  I am ready to accept it.  Hopefully you are too.
